One aircraft, many missions - The future of tactical airlift

Beskrivelse
Most europeans know Embraer from the windowseat of a regional jet. Fewer know that its military aircrafts have become one of the export stories of this decade. At the centre of that story is a tactical transport aircraft called the C-390 Millennium, now selected by a growing list of NATO and allied air forces. As a rule of thumb, Embraer describes the C-390 as roughly a third better than similar sized legacy aircrafts. Lifting more, lifting it farther, flying faster and higher. Join the conversation, where we put these claims to a test. We also discuss the A-29 Super Tucano Light Attack and training aircraft, where the interest is rising in a role few predicted, counter drone operations. Listen to our discussion on how the war in Ukraine changed the conversation around that aircraft and where an aircraft like that fits in an air force that already operates fighter jets. This episode was recorded in the cockpit of the C-390 Millenium at the Farnborough International Airshow Guest: Frederico Lemos, Chief Commercial Officer, Embraer Aerospace and Defense. This podcastepisode was recorded in collaboration with Embraer.
